Conference Weekend in Joseph

It's always nice to get away from home for a few days and rejuvenate one's spirit. I love to get away to Joseph to the old homestead. Marcia and Bill are wonderful to share their home with us. We enjoyed a biscuit and gravy breakfast at the Cowboy Corral. Marcia and Bill could tell you the history of that quaint eatery. It does feel like stepping back in time a few decades.

Later we went for an ATV ride. It felt more like snowmobiling in the Arctic. It was cold, but we were bundled up like eskimos and had a great time riding in the 4-man ATV.

Conference was inspiring. I enjoyed the messages of hope and faith. I enjoyed the Easter message of President Holland that you can see on lds.org's home page.

Christine's 20th Birthday

We had a small family birthday party to celebrate Christine's 20th birthday. She is no longer a teenager. She has grown into a lovely woman. She is ready to take on the world and life and is doing a great job. We are so proud of her. We got her a pretty necklace that is called "Inspire". That's what she does to all those she meets. Carlos gave her some beautiful red roses. Happy Birthday, Christine!
