Tuacahn Theater

We got a chance to do a little sightseeing on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We have heard of Tuacahn Theater and wanted to see it. They were having a Nativity Scene each night at 7:00 p.m for 20 minutes. It was just like you'd see at your home, with the young children portraying the cast of character from the Bible story of Jesus' birth. It was narrated and music played in the back ground. The only difference was they had live animals: a donkey, sheep, horses and even a camel. Tuacahn was decorated with lights. They had a bonfire there to stand around. The red rock was beautiful. It was a nice way to start the Christmas season. Many people dontated to the Tuacahn Theater and their names are engraved in sandstone. Christine happened to see this one of Steven D.

Visit to the St. George Temple

The Nativity was set up at the temple. There was a young couple just married getting their pictures taken. The missionaries at the Visitors Center told us that they do a lot of missionary work when the tour buses come through, especially the French tour buses. The senior missionary bore his testimony of Brigham Young's vision to build the temple where it is (near where I-15 would be) so that many people would have the chance to hear the gospel who otherwise may never get the chance in this life time.
